Description of the yoga & sauna activity

Come and enjoy a simply exceptional health experience! The teacher Léa Claude Yoga specializing in Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga offers a complete yoga class followed by a social sauna session.

The activity starts at the Mercantile Massawippi, a café-restaurant that also offers an annex that can accommodate 12 participants. The café is located 2 minutes drive from the sauna.

Ashtanga Vinyasa is a traditional yoga practice that works on strength and flexibility. It is created to generate an inner fire and maintain it for the duration of the practice. This practice emphasizes the union of movement and breath using deep, conscious breathing (Ujjayi).

Here is what is included in the activity:

• 75 minute yoga class at Mercantile Massawippi. Herbal tea on site included.
• Private session of social sauna and cold water descent. Léa Claude will be on site and will accompany the participants
• The activity starts at 9:30 and ends at 13:00

What to bring?

• Please bring sandals, bathing suit, two towels and a water bottle
• Yoga mat
• A small snack after yoga is suggested. The Mercantile sells smoothies, muffins and other delicious snacks on site.

Bathing

Swimming is allowed, but not supervised. When the lake freezes over, an opening in the ice and stairs will be maintained to allow participants to enjoy a hot and cold experience in the wilderness.

Swimming is not mandatory. All participants must sign a waiver which explains, among other things, that swimming is at the risk of each participant.
